Holy Trinity Ladies Group

The Ladies Group began over fifty years ago as the Young Wives but time marches on and the “Young” and “Wives” were replaced by “Ladies” although husbands and visitors are always welcome.

The ladies Group meet at 2:30 on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Briggs room of the Parish Centre, excluding August and December.

25th February "My Pilgrimages"  Fr Jeremy Harris
25th March  "The Work of the Woodland Trust"  Michael Hyde
22nd April "The Australian Flying Doctor Service" Graeme Laurie
27th May  "Pain Management" Dr. T Maisey
24th June  "Mad Hatters Tea Party"
22nd July  "working in Africa" John Church
23rd September "Smugglers 2" Malcolm Nelson
28th October " Mushrooms and Marathons - the life and times of the Albert Hall" Tony Weston
25th November "AGM and social time"
16th December "Carols and games"

After the meeting tea and biscuits are served and there is an opportunity to chat and socialise-we are very good at that!

Members pay an annual £5 fee and £3 per meeting however we do welcome friends, spouses and visitors who pay £4 per meeting.  At the moment we have been able to make contributions to charities nominated at our AGM in November.

In May we usually organise an outing.  A standing joke at our meeting if "There is a list..." and many of the ladies get involved in providing refreshments for fund raising activities such as the Christian Aid Super Soup lunch amongst others.
