"I grew up and was educated in Hillingdon. I worked as an accountant for thirty years, recently as head of finance for the Christian charity BibleLands. I first felt called to the priesthood in 1973, and was at last ordained in 1998, serving at St Andrew’s Cippenham and St Nicolas’ Taplow before moving to Cookham Dean in 2009. I enjoy watching sport, particularly football, and I like many types of music, both listening and performing. My wife Angela and I sing with Voices in Harmony, and together with our two sons, sing in a ‘cathedral holiday’ choir. I also play bass guitar (badly!) with a rock group."
ASSOCIATE PRIEST: HELEN CHAMBERLAIN
I was born in Yorkshire into a creative and musical household. Our family home nestled in the shadow of Emley Moor with inspiring and ever changing landscapes. I first felt called to ministry at the age of six asking my parents for a Bible which I used to stay up late reading after bedtime lights out! Convinced I was meant to be a missionary travelling overseas I remember feeling angry with God when he spoke into my heart as I prayed and told me I would never work overseas but I was to work for him wherever he sent me in the UK. The Cookhams is my thirteenth move. I met my husband, Daven, when we were students in Bath. In the past I worked in education and as a couple we cared for children with special needs through local authority fostering departments. We have one adult daughter. As well as being an Associate Priest in The Cookhams I serve as a Spiritual Director for the Oxford Diocese. I have been involved in Christian Ministry for over twenty years in a wide variety of contexts. My interests include music, reading and painting... and I love the seaside!

My childhood was spent in rural Lincolnshire where I was a chorister at Holy Trinity Collegiate Church, Tattershall. I graduated in Physics from Leeds University and it was there that I met Rosalind. We married in 1976 and since then Ros has been at my side and my best friend. For many years we were both preoccupied with our careers. After graduating I became a Process Engineer with 3M; and four years later joined IBM as a Financial Planner. I progressed into Strategic Planning at the UK Head Office and then moved into IBM sales, located in Leeds. After seventeen years I left to join a software house, still in Leeds, which was taken over by the company I am now the Managing Director for. Approximately ten years ago I was called back to my faith; and later realised it was a calling to the priesthood. After an interesting journey I was ordained in 2013. My passion is mountains and my claim to fame is being a Munroist – I have climbed all the Scottish hills over 3,000 ft”

Email click hereI was brought up North London and went Leeds university to study chemistry. I worked in business for 20 years before testing out my calling to priesthood. This led me to Cuddesdon college for ministry training. I met my husband Ian in 2001 whilst working at Mars confectionery in Slough. We have 4 children Sophie (9) and Tom (8) and from Ian's previous marriage Ben (18) and Cathy (16). We have lived in Cookham for 5 years. My passions are food, walking and most sports especially tennis and netball. I also love animals. We have 2 cats but I think I'd have lots more animals if I had the time to look after them!
LICENSED LAY MINISTER

"I was born in Cornwall but grew up in Bath. My parents were Methodists so I began my Christian journey in that denomination. I came to work in Slough and to live in Cookham in 1965. Sue, my wife, and I started worshipping at Holy Trinity and all our three children were baptised here and grew up within the Holy Trinity family. Sue died suddenly in 1989 and the congregation was very supportive. At the suggestion of Father Anthony I was confirmed into the Anglican Church. I was lucky enough to get to know Barbara who had been a member of the church for many years, we were soon married and with this came a second ready made family. I was selected for training as a Reader – now known as Licensed Lay Minister and after nine courses spread over three years I was licensed in October 1996. Now retired from full time work, our combined extended family – with eleven grandchildren – takes a lot of time but I am able to follow sport especially Football. Barbara and I have season tickets at Reading and I attend away matches whenever I can. I still volunteer for Oxfam but my first love is the Lord Jesus very closely followed by my wonderful wife."
I have lived in Maidenhead for over 35 years and have worshipped at Holy Trinity for most of that time. For the last 20 years I have been serving at the altar. Working full-time at the Department for Education in London has meant that I have not been able to be involved in the life of church as much as I would like. I am married to Sarah and have two grown-up children: Clare is an accountant with a large international partnership and Andrew is an IT systems expert. Like many people at Holy Trinity I am not a native. I was brought up in Tynemouth and went to school in Edinburgh where I was confirmed into the Scottish Episcopal Church. I read theology in Hull where I met Sarah. We moved to Maidenhead soon after getting married. Thank you for making me welcome and I am looking forward to the next challenge.

I have lived in Cookham for over 20 years but have come more recently to Holy Trinity. I worked for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (former MAFF) for most of my career in environmental regulation of pesticides and veterinary medicines. I had a brief spell in Water policy, which led me to the role of Cookham’s Flood Coordinator. I have an MSC in environmental building and became a self-employed energy assessor in 2008 until the Green Deal scheme ended in 2015. I was brought up on a small-holding in Lincolnshire and in adult life moved where the work took me. I married Malcolm in early May 2016 in a wonderful ceremony at Holy Trinity and we are living in Cookham. We have both been made very welcome at the church and encouraged to be part of it.

AN UPDATE FROM FATHER ANDREW who left us in 2013
“As many of you know I have been recently looking for a parish appointment. It is with great joy that I can announce that I am to be the next Rector of the Benefice of Dulverton, Brushford, Brompton Regis, Upton and Skilgate in the Diocese of Bath and Wells. It's going to be great times ahead, and I am very much looking forward to living and work-ing in this beautiful part of the South West. The date of my installation has yet to be confirmed, but I'll be sure to let you know as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued love and prayers in what has been a turbulent 9 months for me."
