"I have been the Vicar of Holy Trinity, Cookham since 2001 and also the Vicar of St John the Baptist, Cookham Dean since 2003. All I have ever wanted is to be a parish priest and I count myself as very fortunate to be part of this Benefice comprising of two different yet thriving and ambitious Christian communities which work so well together. In my ministry I particularly enjoy leading worship, preaching, writing and pastoral care. At home I enjoy spending time with my family, running slowly along the Thames with our lazy Labrador (I’d run much quicker without him I am sure) and reading. My heroes are Desmond Tutu, George Orwell and Spike Milligan."

"I grew up and was educated in Hillingdon. I worked as an accountant for thirty years, recently as head of finance for the Christian charity BibleLands. I first felt called to the priesthood in 1973, and was at last ordained in 1998, serving at St Andrew’s Cippenham  and St Nicolas’ Taplow before moving to Cookham Dean in 2009. I enjoy watching sport, particularly football, and I like many types of music, both listening and performing. My wife Angela and I sing with Voices in Harmony, and together with our two sons, sing in a ‘cathedral holiday’ choir. I also play bass guitar (badly!) with a rock group."

"I was born and brought up in Walton-on-Thames, just down the river from Cookham, in Surrey. I went to School there, and then university was at Worcester, and then Birmingham.  At university I trained for 3 years to be a nurse and then spent the next 9 years as a children’s nurse, looking after children with heart disease in intensive care. I trained for the ministry at Cambridge, at Westcott House college; reading for a degree in Christian Theology, and was ordained by the Bishop of Reading The Rt Rev’d Stephen Cottrell on 3rd July 2010 at Christchurch, Oxford. I am keen on the outdoors, both walking and running, and its been to be a real treat to have so much lovely countryside on my new doorstep."

"I was born in Cornwall but grew up in Bath.  My parents were Methodists so I began my Christian journey in that denomination.  I came to work in Slough and to live in Cookham in 1965.  Sue, my wife, and I started worshipping at Holy Trinity and all our three children were baptised here and grew up within the Holy Trinity family.  Sue died suddenly in 1989 and the congregation was very supportive. At the suggestion of Father Anthony I was confirmed into the Anglican Church.  I was lucky enough to get to know Barbara who had been a member of the church for many years, we were soon married and with this came a second ready made family. I was selected for training as a Reader – now known as Licensed Lay Minister and after nine courses spread over three years I was licensed in October 1996. Now  retired from full time work,  our combined extended family – with eleven grandchildren – takes a lot of time but I am able to follow sport especially Football.  Barbara and I have season tickets at Reading and I attend away matches whenever I can.  I still volunteer for Oxfam but my first love is the Lord Jesus very closely followed by my wonderful wife."

"I was baptised at Holy Trinity some 61 years ago when we returned from Egypt where I was born, however it was 20 something years before I returned to Holy Trinity as I lived in Maidenhead and attended Bray Church where I was married, and moved to Cookham (believe it or not Cookham was a cheaper place to live then!)  I continued to go to Bray Church until the girls started to attend Holy Trinity School and in those days Holy Trinity Church every month for Church Parade.  Since then I have been an irregular and regular Church goer (irregular during the time the girls showjumped as we travelled the country at the weekends supporting them!)  Both Claire and Kate were married at Holy Trinity  and four of our five grandchildren have been baptised there.  Some two years ago I became Assistant Churchwarden and a year ago, when Catherine Doe retired, I became Churchwarden."

"I have lived in Cookham for over 20 years with Bernadette my wife. Both our sons were born and raised in the High Street and both attended Holy Trinity Primary School and sang for 12 years in the Holy Trinity Church choir. I spent 8 years as a Foundation Governor at Holy Trinity School. I had a long and varied career in industry, both in the UK and overseas, and spent the last 25 years in the paper and forestry sectors, with senior management responsibilities for sales and marketing and, latterly, sustainability and the global certification of sustainable forest management systems. I retired from paid employment at the end of 2009 and became a Churchwarden in 2010."
