We have received a letter and a pamphlet from Buckingham Palace. At the Children's Jubilee workshop we made cards for the Queen which I sent to her and we received the letter and photographs in reply.
Holy Trinity Church is a vibrant and busy place which we hope caters for the needs of everybody in our community. Starting with the youngest members, our Trinity Nippers group meets in the church at 11.15 every Tuesday, in term-time, for a short interactive child-friendly service and then transfers over to the Parish Centre for refreshments and playtime.
Children's Church meets most Sundays during term-time.
On the second Sunday of the month we are usually in Church for Baptisms where actiivity sheets are provided and we aim to involve the children in the service.
On other Sundays we meet in the Parish Centre for age appropriate activities, aiming to join the congregation at the Offertory - we don't always make it! We have a Creche run by a rota of parents. For younger children we have Sunday Club and for 7+ Junior Praise.
We use Scripture Union materials which provide a varied programme of bible stories, prayers, art and craft, drama, music and games but best of all - FUN!
Once a month we combine for Godly Play when we stay in the Parish Centre for the whole of the service.
Splat Pac (we made that up) is for teenagers. We are trying to establish a monthly meeting on a Friday just to chat, play games and eat cake!
