The Social Action Group has set up a link with A Rocha
an international Christian organization which believes that all Christians should be concerned with the conservation of the beautiful world which God has created. Our care of creation should reflect our love for the Creator. To help people to this end they have created their Living Lightly programme which publishes ideas and eco-tips each month. You can learn more by logging into the A Rocha website: arochalivinglightly.org.uk
A Rocha projects are frequently cross-cultural in character, and share a community emphasis, with a focus on science and research, practical conservation and environmental education.
A Rocha - Living Lightly - October Eco-Tip
Our honey bees and bumblebees are under severe threat from disease and loss of habitat. Without bees to pollinate our fruit and vegetables there would be no harvest. Just imagine the effect this would have upon the world. Do your bit to encourage bees by planting the flowers that they love during the year – bluebells, rosemary, foxgloves, buddleia, lavender, sedum and heather.
